Perhaps I got your attention with this title. Not surprising as this is the hook that has become the norm in the online printing business, we use it too.
We won’t come out and name the competition but we know that you know who they are as no matter what printing keywords you type, they will always come up first. Because they pay to be there. I decided to order some products from the website in question and here is what I discovered.
The Free Business Cards that was the hook soon became $29.99 because I didn’t want their logo printed on the back of my card. The most economical shipping method was labeled ‘Slow 21 days’ and cost $13.50. The business card was not a standard 3.5″ x 2″ like everyone else in the world uses but rather was 3-3/8″ (an 1/8″ shorter) which is done like this to make it more efficient for the printer. The business card was a full bleed image (the image extends right to the edge) and I could see a hairline of the left side of the image along the right edge due to poor trimming. And lastly, the card was printed on a low-grade offset stock.
Ignoring the taxes I paid $43.49 for 250 business cards that are smaller than Printeca.com cards, that are on a much inferior stock than Printeca.com and that were trimmed poorly. The order came almost 3 weeks later and the service used was a lot more than it should have been (they used USPS and I checked). I would define this as Cheap Business Cards.
We do get calls periodically from users that suggest that they could get cheaper business cards elsewhere but the interesting thing is they still order from us. Why you ask?
